VACCINE STATISTICS RELEASED FOR THE CENTRAL COAST

3 August 2021

Data released by the Federal Government gives a picture of how the vaccine rollout and uptake is going on the Central Coast.

The information breaks down the first and second dose rates for eligible people aged 15 years old and over, in different geographic areas in every state and territory as of August 2.

Federal Liberal Member for Robertson, Lucy Wicks MP said this is encouraging news for the Central Coast

“In our region, 45% people aged 15 and over have had one dose and nearly 1 in 5 people aged 15 and over are fully vaccinated.

“The NSW state average of 42.2% for first doses and 19.8% of eligible people now fully vaccinated.

“I want to thank everyone who has received or booked a vaccination.

“Thank you for following the health advice to keep yourself, your family and our community safe.

“Getting vaccinated is a huge part of getting us all out of this lockdown so its great to how many people across the Coast are rolling up their sleeves and getting the jab.

“I know it’s been tough for those across our community who have had their vaccine booking moved over the weekend, but it’s uplifting to see so many in our region doing their bit to keep us all safe.”
